Our advanced course caters for more experienced players which:
- Moves at a faster pace
- Includes additional elements such as a performance masterclass
- Has greater music variety
- Offers the opportunity to sit ABRSM examinations in chamber music or solo performance
:: Our next course takes place between 27th and 31st October 2008 ::
Each day's tuition will take place between 11am and 5.15pm with a lunch hour at 1.15pm, however the music academy building is open from 9am each day if participants wish to arrive early to rehearse before coaching begins. We are happy to offer extra tuition (1 hour slots) subject to tutor availability at the tutor's hourly rate.
5 daily classes:
- Chamber Music Coaching
- Chamber Orchestra
- Choir/Musicianship
- String/Wind/Brass/Piano Ensembles
- A daily session dedicated either to a concert, workshop or masterclass:
- On Monday soprano Norma Ritchie will give a recital with piano.
- On Tuesday Shiatsu practitioner and vocalist Michaela Korte will be giving a workshop on the voice in music
- On Wednesday there is a concert given by the course tutors.
- On Thursday we will have a chamber music masterclass given by Morgan Goff from the acclaimed Kreutzer String Quartet.
- On Friday afternoon from 3pm an informal student concert will take place followed by a wine reception.
Many students from previous courses now meet regularly and play music and socialise. Forming friendships through music as well as good tuition and support are our aims at Chamber Academy.
